Investigation of Cluster States in 13B Using the 9Li-α Resonant Elastic Scattering

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(9Li, α), E=32 MeV; measured Eα, Iα using three telescopes, β-decay from radioactive 9Li beam. 13B; deduced excitation energy spectrum, σ(θ) vs E* with structures, large asymmetry of 19.5 MeV peak indicates it may come from superposition of more states. Preliminary.

Hints of quasi-molecular states in 13B via the study of 9Li-4He elastic scattering

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(9Li, 9Li), (9Li, X), E(cm)=5-9.5 MeV; measured reaction products, TOF. 13B; deduced energy spectrum, broad resonances, σ(θ). R-matrix analysis. The Thick Target Inverse Kinematics technique, the TRIUMF laboratory (Canada) using a 32 MeV 9Li beam delivered by ISAC-II.
